Celebrating 50 Years
St Andrews bookshop is celebrating 50 years of ministry this year!
Please join us in thanking God for all that He has done for and through us over the last half a century.
Here's what Stuart Reid, itinerant preacher and long time friend of St Andrews had to say:
"Congratulations on your 50 years of service to the Church. Those of us who have led churches and have been served by St Andrews Bookshops owe a great debt to the wonderful service you have proffered.
The last 50 years have seen a great advance in evangelical scholarship and literature. The handful of good biblical study guides and commentaries available have multiplied prodigiously for our good and profit. For the dry, desperate preacher you have provided a serendipitous warehouse of good spiritual literature which has been stimulating, edifying and immensely helpful.
You have been a source of great refreshment and stimulating ideas. We have had an embarrassment of riches. Our listeners do not realise how much worse our sermons would have been without your books! The new biographies of the saints have been a constant stimulation to spiritual progress and the rich wealth of devotional classics have fed our hungry souls. Your books have nourished and fed thousands and who knows how many people have found God through them.
We are grateful that you have placed the Christian message and the spiritual health of you customers before financial profits. We are immensely indebted to your devoted and sacrificial ministry. And I personally will always be greatly thankful that God raised up St Andrews bookshop and staffed it with such wonderful people.
